3 New SUSE Courses including Rancher
SUSE Technical Product Training is pleased to announce three new technical product training courses, including the first two Rancher courses, have now been released and are available to be scheduled for customers. The first SUSE certification for Rancher products is now available.
Kubernetes Administration
KUB201v1.2 Full Course Description
This two-day course begins with an introduction to containers and container orchestration. Students will then learn about and explore Kubernetes, including launching applications, configuring networking, storage and security, and using Helm to deploy applications. This course provides an ideal foundation for those wishing to learn more about Rancher but do not yet have Kubernetes experience.
Rancher Administration
RAN201v2.5 Full Course Description
This two-day course begins with an introduction to Rancher Server and its architecture. Students will then learn how to access the Rancher Server’s graphical user interface, including Rancher Cluster Manager as well as Rancher Cluster Explorer. In the course an existing Kubernetes cluster will be registered, and a new RKE cluster will be provisioned with Rancher Server and then many Kubernetes cluster administrative activities will be introduced. The course also covers Kubernetes cluster management for infrastructure and hosted Kubernetes provider’s deployments in the public clouds.
SUSE Linux Enterprise HA Cluster Operations
SLE221v15 – Full Course Description
This two-day course teaches the student how to operate and maintain a SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Cluster after it has been deployed. The course covers use of common cluster administration tools and creation and management of the common cluster resources types. It also covers monitoring and troubleshooting of cluster resources, backing up and restoring the cluster configuration and updating/patching the cluster and its resources.
