It’s here! SUSE Rancher, SLE Micro and K3s now available with HPE Pointnext support 

• SUSE and HPE bring simplified management at the distributed edge to HPE GreenLake 

For twenty-five years, SUSE has collaborated and innovated with Hewlett Packard Enterprises (HPE), to create a seamless hardware and software experience. As part of this extended partnership we are proud to announce the availability of  SUSE Rancher, K3s and SUSE Linux Enterprise Micro (SLE Micro) with HPE Pointnext support bundled-in, starting October 3rd.  

HPE and SUSE’s latest solution 

HPE GreenLake is recognized as one of the leading distributed cloud platform delivering data from edge to cloud and is the most secure platform for IT to deliver a distributed cloud experience. SUSE Rancher, K3s and SUSE Linux Enterprise is SUSE’s industry-leading software stack which, when combined with HPE GreenLake, enables companies to optimize their operations from edge to cloud with workload and data lifecycle management at an enterprise scale. HPE has embraced SUSE Rancher management server and K3s as a valued and supported component of HPE GreenLake. 

What are SUSE Rancher, SLE Micro and K3s 

The container management market has seen accelerated growth over the last year and SUSE Rancher is a market leader in multi-cloud container development platforms. SLE Micro is SUSE’s immutable operating system purpose built for containerized workloads. K3s is a powerful but lightweight certified Kubernetes distribution which, when combined with SUSE Rancher and SLE Micro, is ideal for running production workloads across resource-restrained, remote locations or on IoT devices. Together, this stack enables customers to deploy and manage HPE GreenLake workloads at the distributed edge, complementing HPE’s Ezmeral solution.
