Join SUSE at Ceph Day Switzerland

As an active participant in the Ceph community and distributor of SUSE Enterprise Storage, powered by Ceph technology, SUSE is focused on helping to further educate and promote software-defined storage and the Ceph technology by helping to sponsor Ceph Day Switzerland on June 14, 2016 at CERN.

This is a full day event hosted by the Ceph community and is dedicated to sharing Ceph’s transformative power and helping to foster the vibrant Ceph community. You’ll hear from key members of the development community, storage industry experts, and users who are already transforming their storage with Ceph and learn about:

• The basics and history of Ceph.
• The current status of the Ceph project.
• Insights into joining and evolving within the Ceph community.
• Best practices for using Ceph.
• Technical details of Ceph components.

At 11:15 am SUSE’s very own Owen Synge will be presenting a session on “Using Salt to setup Ceph” where he will do a brief comparison of Salt to other similar tools, what we have achieved so far with Salt for Ceph and future plans for enabling advanced operations such as lifecyle management. The day ends with a Q&A session and a cocktail reception, both designed to foster more Ceph learning.
