At KubeCon EU 2026, we’re announcing the General Availability of Hosted SUSE Observability, a fully managed observability service. This post covers what the service delivers, who it’s built for, and how to get access today.

Running observability infrastructure is one of those tasks that feels like it should be solved by now. The tooling exists, the data is there, but standing up, scaling, and maintaining an observability stack still lands on your platform team’s plate. For SREs and platform engineers already managing Kubernetes at scale, that’s real time and real resource cost that doesn’t move the needle on the work they actually want to be doing.

Hosted SUSE Observability hands that operational burden back to SUSE so your team can focus on using the insights rather than keeping the lights on.

The part of your stack you shouldn’t have to babysit

Platform engineering teams get the most value from observability when it’s just there, reliable, current, and ready to use. The hosted model means no installation, no upgrade cycles to plan around, and no storage or compute provisioning to size correctly. SUSE manages the infrastructure so your SREs can spend their time on what the data is telling them rather than on the system producing it.

For organizations running SUSE Rancher Prime or the full SUSE Suite, this also means observability that is already aligned with your platform investment. There’s no separate vendor relationship to manage and no integration work to get it talking to your cluster fleet.

Hosted SUSE Observability gives platform and SRE teams a complete view across their Kubernetes environments without needing to instrument, configure, or maintain the underlying observability stack. The service is built to surface the signals that matter at the platform level, across clusters, workloads, and infrastructure, in a way that fits naturally into how Rancher-based environments are already operated.

Also announced at KubeCon EU 2026, SUSE Observability is part of the Rancher AI Crew, an agent ecosystem embedded in SUSE Rancher Prime that brings AI-assisted incident investigation to the platform. The observability AI agent uses Time Traveling Topology to compare system state before and during an incident, giving engineers a grounded chain of evidence rather than a statistical guess. For teams looking to reduce the time spent reconstructing what happened during an outage, it’s worth exploring alongside the hosted service.

Because Hosted SUSE Observability is delivered as a managed service, teams get access to current capabilities as SUSE updates the platform. There’s no lag between what SUSE ships and what your team has access to.

Who can access it and how it’s packaged

Hosted SUSE Observability is generally available now as an add-on of SUSE Rancher Prime and the SUSE Suite. If you’re already running SUSE Rancher Prime, your account team can walk you through adding it to your subscription.
