OpenStack It Is!

This week has seen Red Hat Summit in Boston, and one message coming out of that loud and clear is a strong validation of OpenStack as the “Linux of Cloud“.

We are excited to see Red Hat follow our direction and join the OpenStack bandwaggon.  As in many other areas our engineers and theirs will productively work together on entrenching this as the leading Infrastructure as a Service project (Open Source or proprietary).

What this is going to imply for RHEV-M and oVirt?  Not my problem, luckily, but I see an ever decreasing window of opportunity there.

As for SUSE (and the industry), OpenStack It Is!

PS: Does anybody really need CloudForms as yet another abstraction layer on top of OpenStack?
