The big news coming from the OpenStack Foundation on the first day of the Atlanta Summit was the launch of the OpenStack Marketplace, which offers a user’s guide to OpenStack products and services. As adoption and interest in OpenStack continues to grow the Marketplace provides a portal for users to easily identify and learn how products and services, such as the enterprise OpenStack distribution SUSE Cloud , can help them transform their organizations.

With 90 companies showcasing their OpenStack wares for roughly 4,500 attendees (another OpenStack Summit attendance record), the vendor showcase is abuzz with activity and SUSE, with our giant chameleon, is right in the middle of it. All week, we will be randomly giving away prizes for those sporting their SUSE gear during the Summit – by the run on hats and t-shirts there should be plenty of potential winners.

Tuesday will be another busy day for SUSE in Atlanta as Alejandro Bonilla will be onstage in the Demo Theatre at 1:40PM to show off our recently announced high availability capabilities for OpenStack services running in SUSE Cloud. Alejandro will demonstrate just how easy SUSE has made the automated configuration and deployment of control node clusters. It is a must see for anyone interested in providing a continuously accessible OpenStack cloud and ensuring the delivery of enterprise-grade SLAs.

Of course, if you miss the Demo Theatre presentation our expert OpenStack staff will be in the booth to provide you a personal overview of SUSE Cloud. We’ll see you there.
