For this year’s KubeCon + CloudNativeCon NA, SUSE showed up in a big way. From hosting customers and community members to our CEO, DP, speaking on the main stage to launching new product solutions and painting the town green, SUSE connected with many brilliant minds in the cloud native community. Salt Lake City, home to KubeCon NA 2024, was buzzing with energy, and we were thrilled to be part of it.

SUSE Rancher Day

We kicked off KubeCon festivities with SUSE Rancher Day, a full day packed with insights, inspiration, and hands-on demos. SUSE leaders and industry experts took the stage to discuss the latest advancements in SUSE Rancher Prime, SUSE Edge, and SUSE AI. We capped the evening with a reception at The Natural History Museum of Utah, which provided a stunning backdrop for an evening filled with delicious food, drinks, live entertainment, and fantastic conversations. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of tech talks and demos.

SUSE on the Showroom Floor

This year, SUSE proudly served as a Diamond sponsor of KubeCon. We are dedicated  to supporting events that unite  the community, fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and shaping the future of open source.

Within the event itself, our booth on the show floor was a visual standout, effectively cutting through the noise of the conference hall, thanks to its prime location near the entrance. Our booth included SUSE Edge, SUSE AI and SUSE Cloud Observability demos. Additionally, on a second activation zone, SUSE partnered with the Kubernetes storage and data management company, Portworx, by highlighting the  electric car manufacturer Rivian. This collaboration served as a powerful demonstration of the SUSE-Rivian-Portworx partnership, sparking curiosity and conversations about potential collaborations with SUSE and Portworx.

Painting the Town Green

KubeCon was the perfect time to show off our new look to a big audience. We wanted to make sure people saw SUSE everywhere, even before they got to the conference. We put up billboards in big airports in the US and decorated trams, buses, and other spots around the city.

Pushing Innovations in AI and Observability

While at KubeCon, SUSE made two key announcements highlighting its commitment to advancing cloud-native technologies and artificial intelligence.

First, SUSE announced the early access program for SUSE Cloud Observability, a cloud native, fully managed observability platform designed specifically for Rancher-managed Kubernetes clusters. SUSE Cloud Observability offers an all-in-one observability tool tailored for the Rancher community, eliminating the need for separate tools.

Secondly, SUSE announced the general availability of SUSE AI, a secure, trusted platform to deploy and run GenAI applications. Delivered as an integrated cloud native solution, SUSE AI comes with built-in flexibility and extensibility. SUSE AI unlocks industry leading large language models (LLMs) and helps companies retain full control of AI solutions, empowered with choice and sovereignty.

These announcements underscore SUSE’s dedication to delivering open-source solutions that empower businesses to navigate the complexities of the digital landscape and leverage emerging technologies to achieve their strategic objectives. With the early access to SUSE Cloud Observability and the general availability of SUSE AI, SUSE continues to solidify its position as a trusted partner for organizations seeking to unlock the full potential of cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
