SUSE is now an AWS Security Competency Partner

SUSE achieves AWS Security Competency, validating its expertise in cloud native security with SUSE Security (NeuVector).

What is an ISV Software Competency?

The AWS Competency program is designed to highlight top-performing partners who have demonstrated exceptional expertise and customer success. Achieving this status involves a rigorous evaluation process, including in-depth business and technical reviews, a live product demonstration, and extensive Q&A with AWS experts.

Through its Competency Programs, AWS identifies partners like SUSE with validated expertise, providing a trusted recommendation to customers.

This achievement highlights SUSE’s commitment to the AWS partnership and our dedication to providing advanced security solutions for our joint customers.

How did SUSE Security qualify for this competency? What is the value-add for an Amazon EKS or K8s on EC2 customer?

SUSE qualified for the AWS Security Competency in the Infrastructure Protection category due to our specific differentiation in the areas of Zero-Trust security and application level awareness. This recognition highlights our unique strengths in several key areas, including:

Zero Trust Network Access: SUSE Security provides comprehensive zero trust security for cloud native environments, ensuring that only authorized users and services can access sensitive data and applications. This is possible due to Layer 7 application awareness with deep packet inspection, providing Web Application Firewall and Data Loss Prevention capabilities, even between East-West traffic.

Kubernetes Security: SUSE offers comprehensive security for Kubernetes workloads, with features like vulnerability scanning, image signing, and runtime security enforcement.

Container Security: SUSE provides deep visibility and control over containerized applications, enabling organizations to identify and mitigate security risks throughout the container lifecycle.

Compliance and Auditing: Our solutions help organizations meet regulatory compliance requirements and maintain a strong security posture.
