Three-O-Three is out! What’s new in SUSE Manager 3.0.3?
If you are a regular reader of my blog posts, chances are that you are at least slightly interested in what’s going on with SUSE Manager, our comprehensive Lifecycle Management solution for Linux.
Well, then I’ve got some good news for you: Earlier this week we released SUSE Manager 3.0.3, a maintenance release in the 3.0 series that comes with a few pretty exciting updates:
- a refreshed Salt 2015.8.12
- improved support for Live Patching
- SSH Push with Salt (allowing you to use SUSE Manager in “agent-less” mode)
- all tools needed to manage SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 on Raspberry Pi with SUSE Manager
We’ve also enabled SUSE Manager for new product releases like SUSE Linux Enterprise Point of Service Image Server 12, SUSE Enterprise Storage 4, and SUSE OpenStack Cloud 7.
In the next couple of days I’m going to follow up with more in-depth posts about some of those new features and updates, and of course with part two of the Formulas with Forms series. I may even give you a sneak preview of what we are working on for Manager 3.1, the release we are planning to ship this summer!
And if you prefer live performances, make sure you attend one of the upcoming SUSE Expert Days! I’m personally going to talk at five of them on three continents this year.
In the meantime: If you haven’t given SUSE Manager a try yet, now it’s a good time for it: https://www.suse.com/products/suse-manager/download/
