Novell Inc., (Nasdaq: NOVL) today announced a strategic partnership with Intershop, which will enable many of Europe's leading online retailers to port their operations to a Linux platform.

Novell Inc., (Nasdaq: NOVL) today announced a strategic partnership with Intershop, which will enable many of Europe's leading online retailers to port their operations to a Linux platform.

Under the agreement, Intershop, one of the world's leading enablers of e-commerce, will port its e-commerce software Enfinity Suite 6 to Novell's SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9. This move will offer Intershop's extensive install-base of Europe's leading online retailers with the option to realize significant cost savings by running their operations on Linux.
