YaST User Management with LDAP and ppolicy unable to enable disabled user

This document (3808694) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 1
SUSE Linux Enterprise Real Time

Situation

When using YaST User Management Module and ldap with ppolicy is in use, it is possible to deactivate a user account but it cannot be enabled again.

YaST writes "pwdAccountLockedTime" for this user in ldap tree when the user is disabled, but when YaST User Management is started again it cannot read the setting, because the checkbox is not checked anymore and the user cannot be enabled anymore.

Resolution

Update yast2-ldap to version 2.13.6 and yast2-users to 2.13.56.1 via online update.

As SP1 is no longer supported as patch level please consider to patch the system to the very
latest service pack level.
