Informatica Integration Service crashes while collecting CPU stats

This document (7022877) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 2 (SLES 12 SP3)

Situation

Informatica Integration Service aborts on SLES 12 SP3 with a stack trace while collecting CPU stats.

Resolution

A maintenance update of the libstdc++6 package has been released. libstdc++6-7.3.1+r258812-5.2 or newer contains a fix and needs to be installed to solve this issue.

Cause

The regression appears because libstdc++6-7.2.1+r253435-2.4 introduces dual-ABI which is intended  to be compatible with both the C++11 ABI of libstdc++ and the legacy one, which does not work for __throw_ios_failure.

Additional Information

The crashing process prints out a stack trace showing that std::char_traits<>::clear() throws a std::__throw_ios_failure() exception.
