This document (7024354) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 12

Situation

SUSE support for the SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 12 product line ends on 31 December 2019 (see https://www.suse.com/lifecycle/ ). As such, SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 SP5, released in December 2019, does not contain a Desktop version. This document explains the upgrade process for customers who are using SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 12 Service Pack 4 and who wish to keep their systems in a supported state.

Resolution

Upgrade from SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 12 Service Pack 4 to SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 15 Service Pack 1.
