setfacl / getfacl -R broken on SLES10 SP2 (UPDATE) (INTERNAL)

Environment
Situation
setfacl -R -m d:root:rwx jadajada
would only be applied to jadajada and the following subdirectory, but not to the second subdirectory contained in the first or subsequent subdirectories within the second subdirectory.
This Bug has the potential to virtually annihilate any Samba Server functionality at the customer site as any Windows XP and higher relies on ACLs.
A possible scenario would look like that the user copied some directory tree from his XP or any other storage onto the server. The user can access the first folder, the second folder within the first is also accessible. But the third folder, that is within the second folder would not be accessible.
