Multiple NICs not working on HP DL 380 G4 and older generations

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 2

Situation

After configuring Multiple Network Interfaces, it would appear that one of them is not working properly. No traffic enters or leaves the interface, although everything appears to be setup correctly.

Resolution

You must pass the kernel parm "noapic"

Start YaST2 and open the following dialog:

System
Boot Loader

Hightlight "SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2" and then click on "Edit".
Insert the requested boot parameters in the input field "Other Kernel Parameters", at the end of the line, separated from existing parameters with a blank.
Confirm with "OK".
"Finish" the configuration. Changes will be saved.

Once you reboot the server with the noapic kernel parm the Network Interfaces will now work properly.
