The feature fo enable multipath in the initrd has changed on SLES11

This document (7005221) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11

Situation

The feature to enable multipathing support inside the initrd has changed from mpath to multipath.

Resolution

On SLES9 and SLES10 the command to enable multipath is:

# mkinitrd -f mpath

However on SLES11 it is:

# mkinitrd -f multipath

Unfortunately this is not considered in the documentation and manpage shipped with SLES11 DVD.

Additional Information

The documentation and manpage is fixed in the last maintenance update of SLES11.
