SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 Service Pack 1
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 Service Pack 2
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 1
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 2
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11

Situation

When running suse_register or zypper, the command fails with

[AbstractCommand.cc:224] URI=http://url
Check if the URI is valid and accessible.

Resolution

Turn off aria2c support for zypper:

# export ZYPP_ARIA2C=0

Then re-run the command.
