Stale node entries in Calamari web interface.

This document (7017340) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Enterprise Storage 2

Situation

Calamari still has information for nodes that were previously removed from the cluster.

Resolution

Stale or previously removed nodes need to be manually removed from the Calamari configuration. To do this take the following steps, on the removed node disable and stop the following services :
systemctl disable salt-minion.service
systemctl stop salt-minion.service
systemctl disable diamond.service
systemctl stop diamond.service

Connect and login to the web interface on the Calamari server, then adjust the url as follows :
http://calamari_host/api/v2/key

On this page, verify the ID for the previously removed nodes, then adjust the URL to include the node ID, in the below example we will use a node ID of "cephnode1":
http://calamari_host/api/v2/key/cephnode1

NOTE: If the node ID includes the domain name, specify the full node ID that includes the domain name.

On the web page, there will be an option for DELETE, select this and the nodes key information will be removed.
The above steps now need to be repeated for the SERVER, thus:
http://calamari_host/api/v2/server/
Verify the node ID for the removed node
http://calamari_host/api/v2/server/cephnode1
Select DELETE to remove the server information from Calamari

Cause

Currently the Calamari interface does not include by default links to remove node information.
