With SUSE Linux Micro, you can build and scale distinctive systems across industries, including aerospace, telecom, automotive, defense, healthcare, hospitality, and manufacturing.

SUSE Linux Micro 6.1 supports the following hardware architectures:

  • AMD64 and Intel* 64 (x86_64)
  • Arm* 64
  • IBM POWER (ppc64le)
  • IBM* z System or LinuxONE (s390x)

Available Image Options

SUSE Linux Micro 6.1 images come in two versions:

  • Default: Includes the Base OS, podman, virtualization stack (libvirt/kvm), cockpit, and salt-minion
  • Base: Includes only the Base OS and podman

Those images are available in the following formats:

  • Self-installing bootable ISO image
  • Raw disk image
  • Encrypted raw disk image (x86_64 only)
  • QCOW2 disk image
  • VMware (VMDK) disk image
  • Non-bootable packages ISO (for air-gap deployment)
  • TAR archives (for PXE-based deployments)
