SLES 10 SP1 When installing and using UUID, installation fails

Environment
Situation
During installation, when expert partitioning is used, the following configuration was attempted:
2 physical drives /dev/sda /dev/sdb (identical 37.4G)
First drive (sda) was partitioned as:
100M /boot
MAX raid
Second drive (sdb) was partitioned as:
MAX raid
After this, the raid tool was selected, and a raid was created on the two drives. This raid then had a partition of type LVM created on it, and the LVM tool was used to create a partition schema.
During this process, I believe the raid part, the box for "Use UUID's" was used. Sometime during formatting / creation of partitions, the SLES 10 SP1 installer was not able to locate the UUID's.
The installer itself should block the user from using UUID's that will not be able to be located once raid devices are created.
