XEN bridge - Promiscuous mode

Environment

Situation

Need to have the XEN bridge in the host OS pass all traffic through to the guest OS.

Resolution

The following command with put the bridge in promiscuous mode.
brctl setageing br1 0

If it works initially but fails during a reboot of the host OS then you may need to create an /etc/init.d/after.local file and put this command in it. That will make this command run at the end of the boot up process.

Additional Information

If you have a SLES guest and you want the guest network card to also be in promiscuous mode here is the command:
ifconfig eth2 promisc
