insserv/chkconfig lms throws errors

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 1

Trying to enable the system init script lms (Intel Active Management Technology) with `insserv lms` throws the following errors:

# insserv lms
insserv: Script lms is broken: incomplete LSB comment.
insserv: missing `Required-Stop:'  entry: please add even if empty.
insserv: Service heci has to be enabled to start service lms
insserv: exiting now!
#

The same happens trying to enable the service with chkconfig.

The /etc/init.d/lms script is missing the `Required-Stop:` entry. The script can be edited to add the `Required-Stop:` line.

Open the script /etc/init.d/lms with a text editor and add the line right underneath the `Required-Start:` line like this:

### BEGIN INIT INFO
# Provides:       lms
# Required-Start: heci
# Required-Stop: heci
# Should-Start: heci

This resolves the first error, including the error that the Script is broken due to an incomplete LSB comment.

Customers affected by this issue can also contact SUSETechnical Services to request a intel-iamt package with the corrected /etc/init.d/lms script.

The other error: "Service heci has to be enabled to start service lms" will remain and indicates that the heci module is not loaded.
The kernel module is provided by the intel-iamt-heci package.
This package is only available on SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 Service Pack 1 and not on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 1.
SLES and SLED are binary compatible and the package from SLED can be installed on SLES.

However, the external development and support of the intel-iamt user space package and the heci kernel module for Intel iAMT was stopped. Since the packages are not maintained anymore SUSE is going to stop packaging them.
Therefore it is recommended to disregard the Service.
