HAE requires IPv6 to be enabled

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension 11 (HAE)
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11

Situation

IPv6 is disabled on an HAE cluster.
The distributed lock manager (dlm) resource fails to load.
The cluster Logical Volume Manager (cLVM) fails to laod.

Resolution

Enable IPv6, even if it's not used.
1. yast lan
2. Select Global Options
3. Check Enable IPv6
4. Select OK
5. Reboot the server

Cause

IPv6 was disabled.

Additional Information

The dlm and cLVM resources use a protocol provided by IPv6. You don't have to enable IPv6 if you never intend to use an OCFS2 or cLVM volume resource in the cluster. However, it does not hurt anything to enable it just in case.
