SUSE-OpenStack-Cloud-8-2021-4190-1 conflicts with zookeeper-server

Environment

SUSE OpenStack Cloud 8
SUSE OpenStack Cloud 8 Crowbar

Situation

Regression with release of patch SUSE-OpenStack-Cloud-8-2021-4190. The following error will be be seen when trying to apply this patch.

Problem: patch:SUSE-OpenStack-Cloud-8-2021-4190-1.noarch conflicts with zookeeper-server.noarch < 3.4.10-3.9.1 provided by zookeeper-server-3.4.10-3.6.1.noarch
Solution 1: install zookeeper-server-3.4.10-3.9.1.noarch from vendor SUSE LLC <https://www.suse.com/>
replacing zookeeper-server-3.4.10-3.6.1.noarch from vendor Apache Software Foundation
Solution 2: do not install patch:SUSE-OpenStack-Cloud-8-2021-4190-1.noarch

If using CLM, this error will be seen when running the ardana-update-pkgs.yml playbook.

Resolution

The issue is reported to engineering and SUSE engineering is working on an emergency update.

Cause

An inadvertent vendor change was included in this patch which causes the error.

Reported to Engineering

Additional Information

A new patch is scheduled to be released that will reset the vendor back to “Apache Software Foundation”.
