OCFS2 O2CB_HEARTBEAT_THRESHOLD can't be changed

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Support Pack 2

Situation

Kernel versions 2.6.16.60-0.23 and prior

After changing the O2CB_HEARTBEAT_THRESHOLD in /etc/sysconfig/o2cb and restarting the ocfs2 cluster, the changes are not taken into effect.

Resolution

The problem is caused by a bug in the SLES10 SP2 ocfs2 patch and a fix is expected to be included in the next kernel maintenance update.
