xpdf exits with floating point exception while opening documents

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 2
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 2

Situation

After updating xpdf and xpdf-tools to maintenance release 3.01-21.19 for SLE10SP2, PDFs fail to open with a floating point exception like in the following example:

dhcp-lab-35:~ # xpdf test.pdf
Error: PDF version 1.6 -- xpdf supports version 1.5 (continuing anyway)
Floating point exception

Resolution

Please update to xpdf version 3.01-21.22.2 or higher.
