After updating to cobbler 3.3.3-150400.5.30.1 EFI PXE boot is empty

Environment

SUSE Manager 4.3.7
cobbler-3.3.3-150400.5.30.1

 

Situation

After updating to cobbler 3.3.3-150400.5.30.1 EFI enabled PXE boot clients receive an empty menu. Checking /srv/tftpboot/grub/x86_64_menu_items.cfg shows no content, rebuilding a distribution does not repopulate the entries. 
 

Resolution

Please open a request with SUSE Technical Support to receive a Program Temporary Fix (PTF).
 

Cause

A problem with the architecture filter code that is responsible for creating the menus.

Reported to Engineering

Additional Information

Workaround:
Downgrade to cobbler-3.3.3-150400.5.25.3, restart the service and update any distribution inside the SUSE Manager WebUI to populate the /srv/tftpboot/grub/x86_64_menu_items.cfg again.
