Changing the Xgl cube top face

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10

Situation

This document describes changing the top face or other cube parameters for Xgl.

Resolution

  1. Press Alt-F2.
  2. Type "gconf-editor".
  3. Click "Run".
  4. Expand "apps".
  5. Expand "compiz".
  6. Expand "plugins".
  7. Expand "cube".
  8. Expand "screen0".
  9. Click on "options".
  10. Double click on "images".
  11. Click "edit".
  12. Enter the full filename of the PNG image. Note, it MUST be a PNG image - Jpegs do not work.
  13. Click "OK".
  14. Test it.

Additional Information

The background for the cube rotation is normally black. This can be altered in the same area as the above steps as the Skydome .
