ACPI Error messages at boot time

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Support Pack 2
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Support Pack 2
SUSE Linux Enterprise Real Time

Situation

ACPICA is not correctly recognizing and managing hardware. 
After booting the OS and reading DMESG, the following errors are displayed:

ACPI: Interpreter enabled
ACPI: Using IOAPIC for interrupt routing

Resolution

The fix for SLES9 is available as of 2.6.5-7.316
For SLES10, please apply the very latest available service pack.
