Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11

Situation

Desktop Effects are enabled but settings are very limited when viewing the settings from the Desktop Effects selection under the Control Center.

Resolution

To access all the Desktop Effects settings (or "compiz" window manager settings) we have included in the SLED 11 distribution the "ccsm" configuration tool. CCSM is short for Compiz Config Settings Manager. We do not provide a menu selection for this tool but if you will open a terminal window (right-click the desktop and select Open in Terminal) and then enter the command "ccsm" you will be brought to the graphic configuration tool. In this tool you can find all the advanced settings for Desktop Effects.
