kernel crash in __scsi_remove_device

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP3

Situation

This crash might originate from different behaviors, for instance after pulling out and reinsertion of a tape drive into a SAN library, or a rezoning of the pathlight gateway in combination with zfcp.allow_lun_scan=1, etc.

Resolution

The kernel update released July 2014, kernel -3.0.101-0.35.1 includes the patch to resolve the problem.
