Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5

Situation

Upgrading krb5 package from 1.16.3-46.3.1 or 1.16.3-46.6.1 versions the following warning message is displayed.

For example:
# zypper -v in -t patch SUSE-SLE-SERVER-12-SP5-2024-1148
...
Additional rpm output:
/sbin/ldconfig: relative path `1' used to build cache
warning: %postun(krb5-1.16.3-46.3.1.x86_64) scriptlet failed, exit status 1

Resolution

The issue was fixed by krb5-1.16.3-46.9.1.

Please note that in the next update it will still get the warning from the %postun section of the package being uninstalled and replaced by the fixed version.

Cause

The warning message is displayed when uninstalling krb5 package 1.16.3-46.3.1 or 1.16.3-46.6.1 version due to the way ldconfig config is called in the post-uninstall script section.
