Environment
Situation
When placing CD, DVD, or floppy disks in the server or desktop an icon is created on the desktop for the media being automounted.
Resolution
- Press ALT F2
- gconf-editor
- Choose APPS > NAUTILUS > DESKTOP
- Uncheck VOLUMES_VISIBLE
