Applications using LDAP authentication get segmentation fault after upgrade to SLED10SP2

Environment
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 1

SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 2
Situation
After upgrading from SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 1 (SLED10SP1) to SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 2 (SLED10SP2) applications using LDAP authentication get a segmentation fault.
Resolution
Reconfigure LDAP settings in YaST -> Network Services -> LDAP Client.
Additional Information
The analysis of the supportconfig showed that no entries existed in /etc/sysconfig/ldap.
Reconfiguring the LDAP Client with YaST added the missing entries and solved the problem.
