SLES11 mail command won't take -s when running -R first

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 1
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 2

Situation

When trying to send mail from a terminal, if you run the command:

    echo "TEST" | mail -R mailadress@domain -s TEST mailaddress@domain

It will fail with the error:

$ echo "TEST" | mail -R holger.mickler@tu-dresden.de -s TEST holger.mickler@tu-dresden.de
 $ send-mail: invalid option -- 's'
send-mail: invalid option -- 's'
send-mail: fatal: usage: send-mail [options]


Resolution

If you put the -s first in the command it will work without problem.
