Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 1 (SLES 12 SP1)

Situation

Connecting to xrdp server fails via session type sesman-Xvnc and log file /var/log/xrdp-sesman.log does not show enough logging details even /etc/xrdp/sesman.ini:LogLevel=DEBUG.

Resolution

systemctl stop xrdp.service

Run in separate terminals:
/usr/sbin/xrdp-sesman -ns
xrdp -ns

Additional Information

Note: To get session "sesman-Xvnc" working the package xorg-x11-Xvnc needs to be installed.
