Activation of PackageHub 15.1 through SMT fails with error 104

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP1
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 15 SP1


Situation

Registering a system with package hub through an SMT server returns the following : 

SUSEConnect -p PackageHub/15.1/x86_64
Registering system to registration proxy https://smtserver 

Updating system details on https://smtserver

Activating PackageHub 15.1 x86_64 ...
-> Adding service to system ...
-> Installing release package ...
command 'zypper --no-refresh --non-interactive install --no-recommends --auto-agree-with-product-licenses -t product PackageHub' failed
Error: zypper returned (104) with 'No provider of 'PackageHub' found.'

Resolution

The issue is fixed in the back end by Package Hub team and the error is no longer present.

Cause

Certain Package Hub repositories were inappropriately signed using different GPG keys.
