SLED 10 : KDE crashing for one user on a workstation

Environment
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10
Situation
Resolution
- Using a text console (obtainable by using the Control-F1 keys), login as the user experiencing the problem.
- In the home directory will be a hidden .kde directory (all directories or files with a leading dot are "hidden").
- Rename the .kde directory : "mv .kde .kdebackup"
- Return to the GUI login window (Control-F6)
- Login
- If successful, remove the .kdebackup directory.
