Deprecated '-O' option used in MySQL-OCF-Script

This document (7006533) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP1

Situation

The MySQL-OCF-Script (/usr/lib/ocf/resource.d/heartbeat/mysql) in SLES11-SP1-HAE reports the following warning, when a monitor-operation with the newest MySQL-Enterprise-Server (Version 5.1.48-enterprise-gpl-advanced-log) is executed:

Warning: mysql: Option '-O' is deprecated. Use --variable-name=value instead.

In the OCF-Shellscript the variable "MYSQL_OPTIONS_LOCAL" is set with the parameter "-O connect_timeout=1", which is ostensibly deprecated in this newest MySQL-Server-Version.

Resolution

The option '-O' has been replaced upstream. SUSE is working on an updated version that is scheduled to be released as soon as possible.
