Note from the SUSE Security Team

The problematic setting of LD_LIBRARY_PATH only affects scripts called locally by the Apache administrator and can not be exploited remotely. If the Apache administrator e.g. calls apachectl in a attacker controlled directory a library could be injected. The issue itself exists in all our products.
