Environment
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 3
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 3
Situation
This may include local disks or even LUNS that are visible to the server or desktop.
Resolution
Additional Information
To disable using chkconfig:
sudo /sbin/chkconfig haldaemon off
To disable automounting in the Nautilus application:
- Launch the GNOME Configuration Editor (run "gconf-editor" from a terminal window)
- Select apps > nautilus > preferences
- Uncheck media_automount
/opt/gnome/bin/gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/nautilus/preferences/media_automount false
After running the command the option will show up in the GNOME Configuration Editor.
