OCFS2 volume with more than 16TB fails to mount due to missing block64 option

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 1
SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension 11 Service Pack 1

Situation

Mounting a OCFS2 volume with more than 16TB fails to mount with the following error message:
 
(mount.ocfs2,18503,0):ocfs2_journal_addressable:2096 ERROR: The journal cannot address the entire volume. Enable the 'block64' journal option with tunefs.ocfs2

Trying to adjust the filesystem using tunefs.ocfs fails with:
 
linux:~ # tunefs.ocfs2 -J block64 /dev/mapper/cae_data
tunefs.ocfs2: Unknown journal option: "block64"
Valid journal options are:
        size=<journal-size>
Usage: tunefs.ocfs2 [options]<device> [new-size]
       tunefs.ocfs2 -h|--help
       tunefs.ocfs2 -V|--version
[options] can be any mix of:
        -i|--interactive
        -p|--progress
        -v|--verbose (increases verbosity; more than one permitted)
        -q|--quiet (decreases verbosity; more than one permitted)
        -L|--label <label>
        -N|--node-slots <number-of-node-slots>
        -S|--volume-size
        -U|--uuid-reset
        -J|--journal-options <options>
        -Q|--query <query-format>
           --list-sparse
           --fs-features [no]sparse,...
           --update-cluster-stack
           --cloned-volume[=new-label]
           --usrquota-sync-interval <interval>
           --grpquota-sync-interval <interval>
        -y|--yes
        -n|--no
[new-size] is only valid with the '-S' option
All sizes can be specified with K/M/G/T/P suffixes

Resolution

This issue is currently under investigation.
