Wrong server name when sending mail through PostFix

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10

Situation

The mail shows root@<wrongserver> as its mail from

Wrong server name shown through postfix mail

Resolution

Open the /etc/postfix/main.cf file
Edit the myhostname setting from its default entry to the correct server name and domain
Restart postfix by typing rcpostfix restart

Cause

The host name attribute had not been updated correctly and was using its default setting.
