Missing packages for NSX support on SLE12 compute nodes

Environment

SUSE OpenStack Cloud 4

Situation

In SUSE OpenStack Cloud 5 deployment of SLE12 based transport node will fail due to missing support packages for VMWare NSX. Deployment with SLE11 based compute nodes works.

Resolution

This is a known issue. Packages are available through the update channels.

Cause

The two packages ruby2.1-rubygem-faraday and ruby2.1-rubygem-multipart-post are missing from SLE12 media.
