After upgrading to SLES 12 SP5 BTRFS cron jobs are not working anymore.

Environment
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 5 (SLES 12 SP5)
Situation
After upgrading to SLES 12 SP5 BTRFS cron jobs are not working anymore.
Resolution
Kindly either:

open a ticket with SUSE Technical support for a fix to this problem, and please refer to this TID

or install btrfsmaintenance-0.2-15.1 or newer package
Cause
BTRFS cron jobs source common.sh is incorrect
