Registration Code does not include the requested product

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP
All SUSE Products

Situation

When trying to register a system to SSC, SUSEConnect report the following error: "Registration Code does not include the requested product". For example:

Error: SCC returned 'The subscription with the provided Registration Code does not include the requested product 'SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications 12 x86_64'' (422)

Resolution

The registration code should match the product and hardware type. Please ensure that the :

Registration Code matches the installed product. It is not possible to use SLES Registration code on SLES for SAP.
Registration Code match the system hardware type. It is not possible to use a x86_64 code on IBM Power and vice-versa.

Cause

The wrong Registration Code is used for wrong product or hardware type.
