Incorrect channel name for: suse-packagehub-15-sp6backports-pool-x86_64

This document (000021484) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Manager 4.3

Situation

When syncing the "SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6 x86_64" product and selecting to also sync the optional "SUSE Package Hub 15 SP6 x86_64" channel, the name for the channel is as follows, which does not conform to the (expected) standard naming:

suse-packagehub-15-sp6backports-pool-x86_64

Correct and expected channel name:

suse-packagehub-15-sp6-backports-pool-x86_64

Resolution

Remove any channel assignments for the channel and its clones and then remove the channel and all its clones.

Remove the channel:

spacewalk-remove-channel -c suse-packagehub-15-sp6backports-pool-x86_64 --justdb

Delete the database entry:

:~ # spacewalk-sql -i
susemanager=# delete from suseproductsccrepository where channel_label like 'suse-packagehub-15-sp6backports-pool-x86_64%';
susemanager=# \q

Cause

Typo in the configuration of SCC (SUSE Customer Center).

Additional Information

The issue has since been fixed in SCC, but any SUSE Manager server that in the interim already had the channel sync'd will have the name set incorrectly.
