Taskomatic daemon log reports an error: No such channel with channel_id xxxx

Environment

SUSE Manager 4.3 Server


Situation

1) Email notification from SUSE Manager Server says:

Taskomatic bunch repo-sync-bunch was scheduled to run within the repo-sync-1-xxxx schedule.Subtask ubuntu-errata failed.
For more information check taskomatic daemon logs.

2) /var/log/rhn/rhn_taskomatic_daemon.log reports:

2024-11-07 06:25:00,014 [DefaultQuartzScheduler_Worker-6] ERROR com.-deburedhat.rhn.taskomatic.task.RepoSyncTask - No such channel with channel_id xxxx

3) The channel does not exists in spacewalk-debug/channels-report.csv 

Resolution

Restart spacewalk-service to resolve/clear the error message:

spacewalk-service restart

Cause

It can be caused by still existing channel cache after deleting channels.
