smt-setup-custom-repos fails with mysql::db error

SMT on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 3 (SLES 11 SP3)
Situation
Attempts to add a customer repository on SMT with smt version -2.0.7-0.7.1, fail.
The smt-setup-custom-repos command:
# smt-setup-custom-repos --productid <product_id> --name <repository_name> --exturl <repository_url>results in the following mysql db error:
DBD::mysql::db do failed: Unknown column 'ID' in 'where clause' at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0/SMT/CLI.pm line 1451.
