SUSE Manager 4.1.x
SUSE Manager 4.0.x

Situation

Updating a SUSE Manager returns the following error:

suma:~ # zypper patch
[...]
Problem: subscription-matcher-0.26-3.3.3.noarch requires mvn(com.thoughtworks.xstream:xstream) = 1.4.10, but this requirement cannot be provided
Solution 1: Following actions will be done:
deinstallation of subscription-matcher-0.26-3.3.3.noarch
deinstallation of spacewalk-common-4.1.3-1.46.noarch
deinstallation of spacewalk-postgresql-4.1.3-1.46.noarch
deinstallation of patterns-suma_server-4.1-6.6.3.x86_64
deinstallation of susemanager-4.1.23-3.17.9.x86_64
deinstallation of supportutils-plugin-susemanager-4.1.4-3.3.5.noarch
deinstallation of uyuni-cluster-provider-caasp-4.1.3-3.3.5.noarch
deinstallation of spacewalk-java-4.1.28-3.28.2.noarch
Solution 2: do not install patch:SUSE-SLE-Module-Development-Tools-15-SP2-2021-176-1.noarch
Solution 3: break subscription-matcher-0.26-3.3.3.noarch by ignoring some of its dependencies

Resolution

Please remove the following extension channels from SUSE Manager:

Desktop_Application_Module
Development_Tools_Module

Cause

The Development_Tools_Module contains a newer version of the xstream package while SUSE Manager requires the version 1.4.10 which is provided by the SLE-Module-SUSE-Manager-Server-4.1-Pool channel.

Additional Information

The following channels must not be present on a productive SUSE Manager installation:

SLE-Module-DevTools15
Desktop Applications Module 15
SUSE Linux Enterprise Workstation Extension 15
Development Tools Module 15
SUSE Package Hub 15
